Who runs Willmakers of Maidstone Limited?
Willmakers of Maidstone Limited is owned and run by Monty Knight-Olds ably assisted by his wife Teri.
Will writers should be regulated and there are two organisations that carry out that role. These are The Society of Will Writers (SWW) and The Institute of Professional Will Writers (IPW). Monty joined SWW in May 1996 and IPW in February 2005. Both organisations check for continuing professional development and Monty obtains and exceeds the required qualifications by attending conferences, seminars and workshops. A further requirement of SWW and IWM is that Associates and Members carry £2million of Professional Indemnity Insurance and, of course, the business complies.
Who is Monty Knight-Olds? His background is finance having spent 31 years with NatWest Bank, his last ten years as a Manager. After taking early retirement, he attended Mid Kent College and undertook a computer training course and a business course and updated his book-keeping skills. Whilst book-keeping for a couple of businesses, he started learning about Wills and writing them on a part-time basis. From 2000 he has devoted his time to Wills on a full time basis. He can produce Wills to suit many different situations from the simplest to the most complex.
Teri trained as a secretary many years ago but did go back to college to update her skills before joining Monty in the business in 2003. Besides being company secretary, she carries out all the routine work from appointment letters through to proof reading the final Wills and printing same. Without her input Monty would not be able to give all the clients the level of personal service that they deserve.
Willmakers undertakes to produce documents containing client's wishes within fourteen days of the initial interview, or subsequent receipt of any information which was not initially available. Personal service is guaranteed and “Monty the Willmaker” maintains his reputation by providing a first class, honest and ethical service at a reasonable cost.
